2 Years

2 years and a few days ago, two beautiful girls entered our lives. Sadly, one left too soon after, but the other has stayed with us and has reaffirmed the precious value of life and our faith in God and an afterlife. (If we don't have that, then what do we have?) Here are some early photos from 2007, plus some 2009 images of our wonderful Katherine Grace.

Singing Kate

Kate has been singing "Happy Birthday" now and then over the last few days. The lead teacher at the daycare said that it was one of other kids' birthday last week, so that's where she picked it up. His name is "Oak" (yeah, "Kate" has the most normal name there). So, if you listen closely at the end, you'll hear her end with "Happy to You, Oak".

This is a new game Kate likes to play: "night-night." It doesn't actually lead to her going to sleep or anything.

Kate's vocabulary is definitely getting larger day by day. Most notably was her "Christmas present" this year: she has started saying "I love you" to us. Here is a cute video we took at the hotel in Oklahoma. I'll post another as "part 2."
